Friends join us again for another Free Movie Night at Golden River Sports! Just like previous movie nights we’ll have two films. One short (so straggler beaters can show up late) and one full length featured film!
The first movie of the night will be the Grand Canyon of the Stikine by Evan Garcia and the fellas at Substantial Media House! Follow these crazy seven paddlers as they drive over twenty hours north to British Columbia to paddle arguably some of the biggest, most dangerous, and most wilderness water on our planet. In their own words: “The Grand Canyon of the Stikine holds miles of endless erupting class five whitewater and once you enter into the gorge there is no turning back…[it is] the ultimate pilgrimage for any whitewater kayaker.”
Our full length featured movie of the night will be the newest installment from Rush Sturges and the fine people at River Roots; Chasing Niagara! When pro kayaker Rafa Ortiz decides to follow his dream to paddle over Niagara Falls, he sets in motion an incredible series of events that eventually takes on a life of its own. To prepare for this mission, Rafa enlists the help of world-renowned paddler Rush Sturges and a tight team of their friends. Together they go on a remarkable three-year journey from the rainforest rivers of Mexico to the towering waterfalls of the U.S. Northwest.
